What have been some of your good finds in their "As-is" section?
Today, I came back from the Etobicoke store with:
MYSA STRÅ Quilt, warmth rate 5 (http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/00129220)

(I was actually going to buy the MYSA RÖNN Quilt, warmth rate 2 (http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/10129248), Twin @ $24.99 before I found this.)

We have a lot of IKEA As Is stuff. Great place to find stuff for the kids.
Though we got two really great deals. We got a TV stand that was $250 down to $40. Was missing glass doors (where you'd put your dvd player etc) but still had the glass shelves. Rest of the thing is wood. Has two big drawers that holds a lot of DVDs. And is big enough for our 37inch HD tv and could hold a bigger one when we want a bigger tv.:)
Other great deal we got was a wood kitchen table. It has two leafs and can have up to 12 chairs around it at it's longest. It was reg $250 and we got it for $50. It had one broken leg. My hubby got under the table to see if he'd be able to fix it. Said he could and just had to buy a small piece of wood.

perhaps too cheap to be a great deal, but I have purchased various pieces of wood from there for use as shelving and other small projects. Some were marked down as low as $1

I didn't know they had an as-is section. Do all locations usually have one?

Every IKEA I've been to has an As-is section in the warehouse area. Usually hidden at the end of an aisle but there should be a big sign.

TOBO tv bench. Reg: $259, got it for $115. Had everything, not a scratch on it and bonus! already assembled.

We've bought a couple of pieces for our kids' playroom - I won't get something damaged, but if it has a couple of scuffs on it, no biggie. It's going to have more after my kids are done with it!

There are some good finds in the As-is are, but beware. Items are completely non-refundable. I almost made the mistake of buying a perfect fine mattress for a bed frame that I ended up returning. I bough a new mattress, otherwise I would have been stuck.
Check items over very carefully, make sure you know why they are As-Is, and that you would have no reason whatsoever to return them.

...As-is are...completely non-refundable.
Yeah, that's kind of the definition.

Same here. I had the $20 shelves and decided to take a look in the as-is, ended up paying $2 for 2 shelves, then went to home depot and got brackets for another $4.
