My 2007 Civic Coupe was due for a B1 tune-up and it costed $217.88 + fees + taxes, etc. Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a car newb, and as such, put myself in bad situations when doing stuff involving my car. I found >$200 a ridiculous amount for the work they did on my car, which seem to be mostly visual work.
For $217.88, I got:
Main Item B/B1
Replace engine oil* and filter.
Rotate tires,** inspect for wear and adjust pressure
Service front and rear brakes.
Inspect parking brake adjustments.
Inspect tie rod ends, steering gear box and boots.
Inspect suspension components.
Inspect driveshaft boots.
Inspect brake hoses and lines (including ABS)
Check all fluid levels, condition of fluids and check for leaks.
Inspect exhaust system.
Inspect fuel lines and connections.
The thing with the Civic now is there is an auto maintanence minder computer on board that will tell you when you need to get what done. For example, when I hit around 8000 kms, I had a Schedule A tuneup, which is basically a oil change. Now I hit 16000, and I had a Schedule B1 tuneup.
Usually, I get these regular tuneups at a mechanic friend. However, he said he could not reset the maintenance minder light and reminder system. That means it'll show I need maintenance even though I just did it!!! Only Honda Technicians can do it with their computer, and he did not want to figit with it. How are other Civic owners dealing with this, or are you stuff going by to dealership to get your maintenance. The oil change itself was $49.88 + fees + taxes, etc.
Here is some info on Honda Canada: http://www.honda.ca/HondaCA2006/YourHonda/HondaService/MaintCalcSched.asp?year=2007&modelid=1&minder=True&TrimID=263&L=E.
