I haven't never been on the VIP day before so i can't tell you how good the selection is compared to normal days.
I've been every year for 3 years now. Their selection is pretty decent actually. i usually go on the first public day. They had the sale at the same location last year, which is a great location. Warehouse is huge and they actually fill up the place with stuff.
still plenty of sizes usually on the first public day.
shoes were about $60 a pair.
sweaters ~$25-$35
tshirts ~$15
bags ~$15-$45
jackets ~$80
these were the prices from last year if i remember correctly.
If you go near the end of the sale, like the last 2 days they mark down the prices about $10. but by then you have limited selection of course =)

i've only been OUTSIDE of the actual sale the last time they had it at markham fairgrounds. i think i was there at 8:30 and the lineup (to get into the sale) extended all the way to the parking lot. it was ridiculous...i gave up 15 minutes later as the line hardly moved...decided to check out how long the line really was...it took about 5 minutes to just walk ALONG the line to the other end of it.
my god...it's not like PUMA's giving things away for free. no offence to anyone who was there, but you must be pretty desperate (or have plenty of free time) for PUMA stuff to waste that much time just to get PUMA stuff at a cheaper price. come to think of it, it's almost insulting to have to go through that as a consumer.

Ya, when this event was held in markham/scarborough, the line ups were MASSIVE. but surprisingly last year at the International Centre, I lined up at 8:30am, doors opened at 9am and the whole line went in. I did not see a line up at all afterwards. I was there for nearly 3 hours =)
International centre is like 3 times the size of the old places they had it at. probably thats why the lines are going by pretty fast. lots of parking too

Dont think i want to pay just to buy cheap.
People who are looking for something in particular and are Puma fans would pay the $10 for VIP night since they get first dibs.
They also get 10% discount on VIP night.

last time i went i shelled out over $300...selection in size same as every year, lots of medium size stuff for guys, some jackets, size 8-9 shoes, some gym/messenger bags, and baseball caps.
just keep in mind its more of a sample sale so prices aren't really that much cheaper, still kind of the same if you walked into any apparel store that would carry puma gear.

went to these warehouse sales twice, not the greatest experience. they treat you like criminals with bag/clothes checks going in and out of the sale by rude "security" personnel. I believe the selection is mostly demo or overstocked merchandise (i think some clothes and hats even had [DEMO] stamped on it). I find it pretty degrading to have to line up outside in the cold (the time it was at the markham fairgrounds) and pay money for such an event. The prices are cheaper than retail I guess but nothing stellar (especially for demo/overstock stuff).
Just a heads up for anyone planning on going though. Don't wear or have ANYTHING Puma on you to save yourself the hassle of filling out some stupid papers, and potentially get accused of theft when you are leaving.

So far we have more cons about this warehouse sale. I start to reconsider the 100 km drive to this sale.

My tip is to Pay for Vip and get a list of sizes and what all yr frds/family want, and go early on first day (wait like an hour in line)
And then if you wanna go back, go on the last day during the last hour to see if u get lucky wiht additional discounts.
Anything in between don't go

Yea..i went to this, depends if you can find stuff that you want because for me there wasnt that much stuff i really wanted, and i had to wait so much longer to checkout than to get in and find all my stuff. If you dont go early, most of the usual sizes get sold out quickly

If you just need to grab those items, and don't care for Puma, it's probably not the best idea. Their warehouse prices are on par with sale and even regular priced items at other retailers.

Wow.... why would anybody waste their precious time and money buying recycled Samples? They just finished a tent sale in MTL and are probably sending the leftovers up to Toronto.
Went last year and was met with the most arrogant staff you can find. You can buy these goods at the outlets for cheaper and get better selection.
Oh Yeah.... Don't wear anything PUma or you will be searched like a second class criminal.
Good luck......................

If it's like the other sales, no. They didn't sell any jeans.
I worked for this sale last summer. Like others have stated, the sizes are the make or break for going to this sale. For men's shoes, it was everything size 9 I believe and for women, it was size 7. Tons of people that lined up just for shoes but weren't those sizes were disappointed. But if you happen to be that size, then it's perfect. The first day does have an okay selection (I managed to grab the only nice looking furred zipup hoodie while I was unpacking them on the tables), but all the decent stuff is gone after the first day. Men's clothing were mostly medium and women's clothing were mostly small. The women's handbags are usually the hottest item and the nice looking ones get swarmed as soon as they come out from the back. I think they went for $30 for the big ones and $20 for the small ones. Shoes start out at $60, then on the 3rd last day, the boss dropped it to $50, and on the last day, he made it $20 per pair when you buy 4 pairs (not all shoes have the same value, but they're priced equally; I picked up a pair priced at $130 at foot locker for $20 on that last day)
It's not worth driving 100km for this sale at all! Unless you wear nothing but Puma.

 As previously posted issues like a warning not to wear Puma brand clothings and shop there. I would probably not be able to go either, as most of my clothes were:
PLUMA pants (jumping cat logo pointing to the left)
and a white shirt from this company: http://www.pumaair.com/english/company-profile.htm

went to the sale today
They have alot more stuff then they did last year, but mind you last year I went on the last day, so i don't know what the stick was like on the first day.
zipper hoodies are $44.95
hooded sweatshirts $34.99
shoes $69.99 (they have lots of shoes, but not worth it IMO)
t-shirts $14.99
purses small $24.99 (lots of choices), medium ($39.99) Large I believe was ($49.99 or could have been more)
hats some were $9.99 while otehrs were $14.99
Belts (forget the price)
Golf shirts, polo's, and sweater vest (various prices)
they have a lot of zipper hoodies/shirts, lots of t-shirts and sweat shirts.
This year it seems much more organized, men's and women's clothing is well separated, sizes are CLEARLY labelled, shirts and pants are separated as well.
There wasn't too much selection for kids.
They DID have puma women's jeans, L was a size 32 waist and length was 30 or 32.
long sleeved shirts forget the price
winter jackets various prices as well as vests
for men they had sizes in pants and shirts ranging from S-XXL
women XS-XL
THERE WERE LOTS OF SHOES, but all were the usual styles.
Ferrari stuff seemed to be a hot seller and most people were complaining becasue they couldn't find anything.
Thats all I can think of for now.
It was VERY quiet today, but I am sure by Sunday the majortiy of things will be gone.
Hope this helps!

any word on what kinds of winter jackets or jeans?

the jeans I believe were the Puma Evisu. Thats the one I looked at at, I believe they were boot cut.
I wasn't too interested in the jeans so i didnt bother to look.
Winter jackets, the selection was VERY limited. probably 20 (in total) in each size and they were different styles, nothing appealing really.

I went there yesterday, I was disappointed with the stocks. There are not as good as last April's sample sale in Markham. Also, the price was marked up (some of them) compare to last time. The cloth has not much choose from. Also there is not much bags as last time.:(

just keep in mind its more of a sample sale so prices aren't really that much cheaper, still kind of the same if you walked into any apparel store that would carry puma gear.
It was not cheaper at all. I went today (thursday morning) 10 am. There was a line up, prices shoes all 69.99, sweaters or hoodies i believe 39.99 hats 19.99. it was somewhere in that neighborhood. didnt check the womens side but it looked like larger selection then mens. MENS had a lot of Medium, Large size clothing.
I didnt get anything because i saw the same stuff at si vous play for cheaper.. or same price with more selection.
The guy at the front said best time to come is last day, because they will lower the prices a lot.

Winter Jackets --> they had a bunch of racks at the back. a different size per rack, but i recommend check out the different racks, as they are mixed up.

T-shirts for $14.99??? that is not a saving, especially when you have 5 different ones to pick from. No deal here.
Baseball Caps - $14.99 Again only a few different styles to pick from. No deal here.
The running shoes---not sure if I would these shoes in public. The ones that they had there, are the ones you don't see people wearing them on the street.
Kids shoes- My kids refused all shoes that they looked at.
I ended up buying a tracksuit, that actually matched after digging into the piles, with tax, the total was $85. Not a good deal....just convieniant because I was there. Just before paying, she looked me in the eye and said "ALL SALES ARE FINAL". Thats when I had to look over my items and makes sure nothing was wrong with them.
What I did see was Tom's Place had 5 for 1 suits at a different hall.
These sales are no longer worth the drive. Even being a VIP member and saving an additional 10% off the poor selection and average prices, not a deal anymore.
