LF: Sony 14" Laptop

My dad is going back to iran to visit his family, and he'd like to buy my uncle, a surgeon, a laptop. My uncle is quite specific on what he would like, which is a sony laptop (essentially because it's the one for which repairs and parts would most likely be found in iran) and 14 inches so that it is nicely portable in his clinic.
I've looked at futureshop and a few other places but have only found a couple (they were going for $900 and $1050 or so).
Just wondering if you guys know of any deals on good sony laptops that are 14 inches? Something within the $800-$1000 price range would be great (and if cheaper but still a good laptop, even better :cheesygri

Sony's are generally expensive, by my experience anyway.

If you found any for 900 to 1050 that fits your uncle's needs then I say that's your best bet.
