I need advice here as to whether I should fight these tickets or not.I got 2 tickets for the first time in 10 years.1st ticket was speeding 75 in a 60 zone.Just $40 fine,no points.2nd one was failure to surrender license, left wallet at home....fine is $110.Is it worth fighting since I am out of the country now for a year or two.I would need to hire someone or just appoint a friend to rep me.And how do you fight and defend something like failure to surrender license??I could only come up with excuses but that only means I'm guilty!Since these are minor offences. Will they jack up my insurance? When a court date is set ,is there a limit to how many times I could request to reschedule ?Thanks for any input.

I would normally say fight but if you are out of the Country, it could cost you more and still have to pay.
Your failure to surrender license would normally be thrown out if you make a personal appearance and prove you had a valid license at the time and the speeding may be downgraded as well but. if you ain't gonna be there, you will need to pay.
Don't worry about the insurance.

Could I ask my friend to goto court and show my valid license? If I plead not guilty,do I have to sign on the back of the tickets and send them back?I have the tickets with me and I'm not in Canada now. Thanks
