seriously, ebay is your friend. You can overpay greatly at a lot of stores but at the end of the day, online will net you the best deals by far.
Fakes are an issue but if you do some research you'll be able to determine what's obviously not real.

fake's my biggest concern on ebay auction -- cuz I know a lot of guys selling fake things and even list fake stuffs with a 'real' price to cheat -- any non-ebay suggestion?

I keep mine in my wallet...as if you're not a CEO of a company I think anything else looks a bit silly. People are impressed by what's on the card, not what the card comes in.

Exactly!

I received a silver card holder for my birthday, I keep both my work cards and my photography cards in it. My work card is pretty plain, like most big corporate companies, but my photography cards always gets a "wow nice photos" and "nice card design, did you do it yourself?". I say, "thanks - I had a really good graphic designer design it, she's great!"

You are willing paying up to 150$ for a business card holder?????
Do you have a lot of cash to waste? Seriously, a nice business card holder won't bring you anything further than a normal metal case for business card.

I use a black metal card holder bought from some chinese/japanes stores for like 3.99$ or 4.99$....and now I don't work on the road to see clients. I don't even carry the business holder case, I just put few in my wallet just in case.

Seriously, don't pay anything more than 10 or 20$ max for a business holder unless you are a multi-millionaire that consider 150$ like a penny.

As a client, I won't be impress if someone showing me a 150$ business holder, but I will think that this guy is a big show off mofo.

Putting cards in your wallet makes cards look worn out before you even give them to somebody. But $150 case is an overkill. I personally would prefer to spend that extra money on higher quality cards. An overly fancy case will take the attention away from your cards, and that is not what you want.

For myself I picked a brushed aluminum MUJI card holder. Ordered online from MOMA. Inexpensive, understated, stylish. Just make sure not to put the metal cases together with your keys, they scratch too easily.

I agree with dog_mumu we need a card holder but it is not neccesary to be a very expensive one. I had the same tought as you have but getting my cards from the wallet certainly looks bad to people, showing you are not one of their kind. :) dat's why I usually bring a mont blanc signature pen with myself altho I dun like to use ink.

Anyways, I only need a well-designed and durable holder with a uplimit $150 -- of course, the less the better.

classic!

I keep some business cards in my money clip, and a few in my messenger bag. I've been thinking about getting a card holder, but for the most part, it's not a big deal.
