So I just made an order on Chapter's website and I selected the free shipping option. It said my order should arrive on or before October 6th. Today is only September 23rd. I know it should on or before, but I'm just curious if Chapters usually take this many days to ship stuff out on their free shipping option?

I have ordered from Chapters many many times. They are either really fast or really slow or it doesn't show up at all, but almost always really fast. I've had it show up the next day, but usually within 2 days, sometimes 3. I'm in Ottawa. I would imagine that they are probably a bit slower if you don't live in a large urban centre.

I think Vancouver is as big if not bigger than Ottawa ;).

I have ordered many times, with the free shipping option, and my stuff has arrived before the date they said.
I've had books show up in under 48 hours.
Let's face facts, if they say it's going to take 9 days and it shows up in 3, you're happy. But if they say 3 days and it takes 9.... not so happy.

It's just to save their hides. Hence, how Pizza Pizza states after 45mins or it's free. It's just to show some garentees.

I believe the Chapters warehouse is in Ontario. You're in Vancouver. Free shipping items go truck which will be 5 - 7 days or more to cross the country to get to you.

Yeah people in Ontario/Quebec probably get their stuff in a couple days but the shipping point is in their general region, not thousands of miles away.

You think that's a long time to wait? Just look at this order!

They used to be quick years ago but not anymore and I'm in the GTA.

:cheesygri I can't vouch for Can co. online, but when I've ordered international, they gave me free shipping - no duties and I got the package with in seven days shipped right to my door by Purelator (spelling error) - stuff is usually cheaper when you purchase internationally (sometimes).
