Who and why are stealing car emblems?

Several of my neighbors got their car emblems stolen during the last week.
I took a long walk with kids today to find out many cars on nearby streets without emblems.
Who and why are stealing car emblems?
What is all that vandalism for?

Do you drive a higher end vehicle? Maybe if you drove a cheap KIA they woudn't be interested in that. Seriously though I'm not in Vaughn and teenagers are a-holes sometimes. Goodluck.

Emblems were removed from all kids of cars - old Camrys, Nissans, Yaris, Mazda3, MPV, Civics, Odessey... None are higher end or something, regular cars.

I am missing my emblem too but it's since i bought it. :D

It's usually stupid kids who keep them as trophys, pendents, etc. Some do it to show off or what not.

yeah, when I was younger I did those, I used to have necklaces and stuff of them, but I sold em to my friend who still collects those. Not bad, wore it in highschool once, ppl were like "omg is that a mercedes emblem?" seriously though, two useful tools are either a hacksaw or a flathead screw driver.

lol my friends "Type R" emblem was stolen and he stole it from someone else 6~ months before the fact. lulz. Karma's a b1tch eh? I miss being a teenager

To the kids (teens) it is all a game, and they know there are penalty even if you catch them. Not like in the old days.:mad:
