Hi,

I'm looking for a few answers that I've heard differing opinions on regarding the care of suits.

(1) How often should you dry clean a suit (assuming that you don't spill anything on it)?

(2) I've found a bunch of different options for hangers, but i'm considering going with 'The Hanger Project' for their suit hangers, any reviews or opinions on where to buy proper suit hangers?

(3) Does it make sense to always keep a suit in a suit bag, or to only use the bag when you're transporting the suit?

Thanks for any help in advance.

1. As long as you don't spill, once a season (3-4 times a year) is fine. This is assuming you're rotating your suits/pants too.

2. I like hangers with wider/padding in the shoulder area. This seems to work best for suits and heavier coats. For the pants, I don't care as long as there's a bar or clips on the hangers.

3. No - DO NOT keep your suit in the suit bag unless the suit bag is made of natural fabric (ie cotton). Most suit bags are plastic based which doesn't allow the suit material to breathe. It's bad for the suit - this is why you should never store your clothes in the dry cleaning bags either.

Anyone know where to get a good deal on suit hangers?
