So i foolishly bought a 37" LCD TV from DELL.Model W3706 (SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER).
Now just 2 or so years later,, it is broken. can you say "poor quality"....lol
One night the speakers were making this crackling static sound and then all of a sudden the sound went out.
I researched over the net and realised its a common issue with dell TVs and apparently will cost more than new to fix it.
I believe its the soundcard thats gone. Many people over the internet expressed this.
If i connect an external system like my home theatre system to it i can get sound via audio output. So i believe its the internal audio soundboard/ soundcard thats gone.
Don't like the idea that my almost $2000 TV is broken after such little time.
I can live with hooking it up to a home Theatre system but am trying to see if anyone has any experience with this. maybe i can get it fixed somewhere or by someone on here. Plus am usually anal about my electronics working perfectly fine.
I might just wake up one day and sell it for a $100....lol
any ideas, opinions, advice......repair shop etc
thanks
