i have the benQ wireless keyboard/mouse but find the 2AA batteries too heavy for the mouse, and neither have a charger.

i like that little handheld contraption with the built in mouse scroll pad...but its kindof pricy.

is there anything else out there?

I assume you are referring to the Logitech Dinovo mini as the handheld keyboard with mousepad. If so it is well worth the money, I use it with my HTPC and for the most part it is an excellent device that is well worth the bucks.

Other then that there is the gyration keyboard and mouse combo which is cool, I've had that one as well and it works well but greatly prefer the Dinovo mini. One thing with the Gyration keyboard is that while it is small it still needs to sit on your lap or coffee table which I find uncomfortable. The great thing with the mini is that you use it like a blackberry keyboard which means it is easy to type while watching the screen, no hunching over the lap or coffee table.

I wrote a review of the Dinovo mini in my blog here http://www.gexperts.com/blog/archives/2008/07/entry_415.html.
