I recently picked up the Linksys WRT54GL connected it and installed Tomato, soon after my brother came home with a D-Link DIR-615.
Which one is better and which card would be the best match?
Thanks.

Your probably better off with the D-link DIR-615.
You can go ahead and sell me the WRT54GL:D

Looks like I will keep the Linksys based on the replies here.
I need a wireless card for it, which one would you guys recommend?
Will any Linksys G card work well with it?

Any WLAN card with a Broadcom or Atheros chipset will suit your needs.

WRT54GL is better. But if your older modem or router is having problems (eg. dropping connections requiring a reset), then it's better to replace it.

How do I know which chipset each card has? I was looking through the specs of some of the Linksys cards on infonec.ca and cant find any information on the chipset.

I was using an old SMC router which was dropping connection, I replaced it with the WRT54GL and havent had a problem since. But my bro bought D-Link as well so I didnt know which one to keep.
