The other night I got a malware virus that did lots of stuff to windows.
It disabled task manger, could not access programs from the start menu. plus a few other things.
I did load a malware program and it seemed to get rid of the problem. Now I am getting Pop Ups. I use Bell Sympatico. so I have there security package
and have the Pop up blocker on, as well as for Internet Explorer.
I have ran clean ups. spyware, and anti virus programs, but no luck
they still keep coming.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to get rid of them?
Thanks
Paul :(

I've been using Firefox with Adblock Plus installed and haven't had any popups since converting from IE.

Try Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/), Safari (http://www.apple.com/safari/) or Chrome (http://www.google.com/chrome/index.html?hl=en&brand=CHMI&utm_source=en-et&utm_medium=et&utm_campaign=en). I haven't seen pop-up's in a long time.

Do a system restore if you want your computer back from an earlier state.

Start-->Programs-->Accesories-->System Tools-->System Restore

My cousin had the nasty "Xp Antivirus 2008" virus on his new Vista laptop. I restored it back 2 days, and everything was working again.
