Just picked up a 15 FT HDMI from FactoryDirect for 14.97$
I think that's a pretty decent price. The cable is identical what you can get from Monoprice. Monoprice is still cheaper, but you can save the hassle ordering - waiting from the US. The store is a mess (Kennedy), but the cable is cheap.

And I just picked up a 3" 1.3a PHILIPS HDMI cable at WalMart for $14. At least it says 1.3a...

Interesting, I didn't know about the different versions until now. So is there a default version when you buy a cable that doesn't state the version, or is it a mystery?

BTW, a 3 inch cable? If I didn't say it, someone would have ! :lol:

If you need HDMI cables immediately and can't wait for Monoprice's 2 Week delivery then $10-$15 is normal. Compared to Futureshop & Electronic stores it's very good. Cables 15ft & longer also costs more than standard 10ft.

However, pay attention to your HDMI cable's rating. You're searching for at least 1.3a Category 2 (Shielded, with Noise Filter). Monoprice's regular pricing is ~$9 all inclusive (tax+shipping to Canada). Keep your order under $20 to prevent duty delays & fees.

Monoprice's last clearance orders should be arriving next week. If you can hold out then I believe several RFDers will post cables for sale.

This is a decent price for a non-shipped hdmi cable. I hope more of these show up in more places.

Im using 5 HDMI cables (all from FD), all of them work without a single problem.

It depends on your devices if they can output or input the 1.3a HDMI. The HDMI cables are all the same.
