Hi, Im looking to switch from MBNA to PC MasterCard for the points/features (pay pass) and was wondering if it's worth cancelling a card to do so? Let me know if you need any background info, thanks.

True, they used to have much better rewards in the past. Now the only good reward is free groceries at Loblaws / NoFrills / etc. Also, the PCMC extended warranty does not cover computers or computer accessories.
If you want PayPass, also consider Citi MC.

Also, PC MC used to have pretty "decent" BT offers (1.97, 2.97, ....etc) every 3 to 6 months, it's been about a year and I've seen nothing, whatsoever. Has anybody received any good BT offers from PC MC lately? Just curious.

OP, forget the PC Mastercard. Either get the MBNA Starwood Preferred Guest or the MBNA Platinum Plus 1% Cash Back (non-tiered). Plus, since you're already with MBNA, all you have to do is do a product switch to one of the mentioned ones. PCF FTL!

PC mastercard is good for balance transfer only (6 months promo). If you used that card to purchase you will charge 19% without grace period. Read this article http://www.thestar.com/Business/article/488268.
