so if u want it:

INSTORE (YMMV whether or not coupons will work)
1) go to stooples B&M instore TODAY and buy the item at REGULAR price
2) return to stooples B&M on FRIDAY w/ FS/BB flyer or webpage printout in hand and claim a PM on item
3) Do NOT try to PM this before the sale takes effect on FRIDAY! Follow the above directions!

ONLINE (yes, the online coupons will work)
1) buy the item online at stooples for FULL PRICE TODAY (and use any applicable coupon(s) if u have purchase subtotal over $200 or $400)
2) u should receive an order confirmation e-mail with details about ur order and delivery info
3) send stooples an online PM form (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/CSR/csr_contact_us.asp?CSREmailAddress=bd%2Epricematch %40orders%2Estaples%2Ecom&Subject=Price+Match&OrderRequiredFlag=No) TOMORROW morning (as early as possible) and request for a PM; fill in all necessary contact info, and under the Comment text box, fill in with stoople's item description & item #, followed by competitor's description, webID and with a weblink if possible, including their price.

ANYONE referring to the item as not reflective of the "sale price" now should consider themselves RFD newbies worthy of ridicule!!!

yes of course you should... afterall, every true RFDer should have extra mice sitting around still BNIB sealed regardless of whether or not you need it

actually, instore PM is the most favourable considering that online PMs would likely be subject to s/h tack-ons (based on BB's air/express s/h charge), hence likely breaking the deal...

Good find MJM. Although I have not personally tested this mouse, it looks like a nice and small. Even without the PM, it's a good deal.

I was hoping for a tiny USB adapter, but it seems large based on the photo I found.

I was going to try an online order through Staples but OOS for me.

I didn't know Stooples could sink so low but I'm having issues with the one in Peterborough and price matching.
Went in there yesterday to price match a Logitech MX Revolution that CC and TD have for $85, compared to Staples' $120. They told me that they don't price match these stores because TD only sell refurbished items and CC is "shaddy". These comments where made from the store manager.

Thanks for the Post MJM! I wonder what they are going to say to me today about BB and the price for this Kensington mouse.

Thanks OP. I got one for a total of $5.31 at St. James Staples in Winnipeg. They still have a few there. The receiver is indeed too big and thick. It'll block other usb port if they are close. But for $5, I'll let that pass. Also, it seems you have to connect the mouse and receiver every time you power it on. Kinda of annoying.

wow... it's not like the price diff. is huge...
there have been past deals where the sale price at competitor has been lower than that

Thanks for the Post MJM! I wonder what they are going to say to me today about BB and the price for this Kensington mouse.

BB is one of their more usual/direct competitors, so they're less likely to give you BS reasons against them....

Went back today to try and get this mouse and spoke to one of their employees who happens to be quitting in a week for school. He just said that the manager is a stiff and hates price matchers. He takes it personally when people try to take advantage of a sale and that one should get buy it where the found the sale. In the fine print of the Price Match for Staples, it indicates that they don’t have to honour it. The manager tries to eliminate price matching by saying that Canada Computers is “shady” so he can save the store some money……. LOL

I think I will be doing all of my price matching at staples from now on!

Tried to price match the Kensingston mouse and the sales rep told me they are all sold out in their North East Ontario division.

Thanks again MJM for another cheap deal!

What's the point of having this policy if they don't honour it when it counts? It looks like pretty much just a marketing technique so that they can try and show off that they are confident that their prices are low...

I went to pick up my ISPU from BB and the bastages sold mine to someone else and now they are OOS (FTL). (BTW, IMO acronyms are really annoying! :cheesygri )

They said I could use my order later when they are in-stock. And offered to refund the gas I wasted driving there. Not really.

The new Staples/FS/BB slogan should be "If you find it cheaper somewhere else, buy it there!"

Hmm... Red Hot Plan!

Dollar store white t-shirt - $1
Black marker - $1
Time to write new slogan on t-shirt - 2 minutes
Being denied legit price match - $#$@!%
Look on face of Store Manager as you make a huge scene trying to get him into new t-shirt $Effing priceless!!!

OOS for me online. None of the store in Mississauga/Brampton area has in stock.

yeap, I checked two stores in Mississauga two weeks ago, didn't find any Kensington mice there, it seems that Stooples didn't have many of them because they mainly carry Logitech and Microsoft mice brands.

errr...well i think that's the case for most electronic accs. retailers...
but almost all carry some sort of other brand name mice/KBs too

also, you don't have to physically check yourself by going instore. simply call and ask for a SKU check, and they should be able to find out which store(s) in your region have stock avail.

Sorry guys..just back from vacation and a bit blur. Did St00ples change their policy? I went to 2 St00ples to do PM, they keep telling me they only PM against local stores. For example, I am at downtown Toronto Staples and they told me they cant PM stores in Markham or Richmond Hill or Scarborough and it has to be in downtown TO. I have a feeling they are BS...
