lcd monitor repair (power??)

Hi All,

My monitor just cacked out on me the other day... I brought it in for inspection and am being told its a common problem and it would be around $75 to fix. Something about the power in the monitor needing to be replaced. Is this correct and can I get this done for cheaper? I don't want to be taken on this...

I'm in the Hamilton/Burlington area...

Whoa, slow down with the details there, champ.

"It's not turning on" doesn't tell us much. That's like saying "Hey guys, my car doesn't start, this guy wants $5000 to fix it. Is that too much?"

Have him tell you exactly what's wrong/broken.
