hey, I was wondering if there is another program out there to sync your Ipod. I don't like using itunes bcause its kills the memory on my laptop and freezes it up. I just got my ipod the other day so not overly familiar with it yet.
Thanks

Here is a link.

It explains some programs that can sync.
Personally, I HATE syncing, only because if for some reason, you move your music folder or anything, there goes EVERYTHING on your iPod.
I enable disk use and then manually manage my songs and videos on my iPod.
I just drag and drop the songs I want, it makes it my life so much easier.

There is but you have to use iTunes.
But when you do it this way, it doesn't take nearly as much power as Syncing does, Syncing eats up memory and will make iTunes go much slower.
1. Open iTunes
2. Click your iPod (YourIpod'sNameHere iPod) (Here will you see the screen where your it shows your iPod and all of it's capacity and such)
3. On that page, there is 4 boxes, Make sure 'Enable Disk Use' is checked off, as well as 'Manually Manage Songs'
This will allow you to drag and drop songs onto your iPod.

Wrong... I mean you're right about that trick but itunes can be uninstalled and instead go download MediaMonkey. Google on it.
It's what all should be using for mp3 playback. Does all your syncing and a lot lot more than itunes.
There's also JRiver Media Center but that is mostly movie oriented.

winamp 5.0+ will allow you to transfer music back and forth.
