With the summer nearing its end, and first year right around the corner, i am looking to invest in a laptop. This is when one of my friend's told me ryerson was offering subsidized laptops for students. My question to you guys is whether or not this is true, and if so, can you give me more background information on it.

It's true. A friend of mine who just graduated told me something about how ryerson paid for it. But infact I think its property of the university or something.
I tried googling it, but it was only the ITM stuff where you have to pay 1500 a year to lease one.

I actually heard something about that, but since I am in the ITM program it don't really apply to me lol. But yeah, check out the above link, it was on blackboard.. dunno how much the discount is.

There are discounted Dell laptops available through the link on Blackboard. When I bought mine in April, it worked out to about a 30% discount off of what was offered online. However, there is a limited selection of models...and not all of them have such big savings.

I made a pretty ok one and it came to around $730 shipped to your door, but then in depends on how greatttt of a laptop you want and what your budget is.
