So as a UTSG, do I have to go to campus?

Engineering students can do it at the engineering portal:

Are you sure? I know it worked last year, but I can't find it this year. Screenshot perhaps?

I did it 3 days ago. You didn't get the e-mail? lol, it basically told you to go to the "engineering portal" (see link above) and click on defer. It's not in the forms section, it's like ON the page you see after you login. Bottom right under "Your Personal Portal Announcements:"

Do you need to? I did, but I might become part-time due to some screw-up. And in that case, my whole OSAP is void.

question:
I'm in Engineering and I clicked the defer my fees link on the portal website. When would I received notification of the deferral? Also, what appears on ROSI if my fees are deferred till OSAP comes in?

From what I recall from last year, if you deferred then you just wait. Try to click defer again, and it will tell you you have deferred already. That's all I believe.

You should have gotten an e-mail regarding an OSAP fee deferral. If you haven't gotten an UTORid than you can reply to the message sent and change the subject to Confirm Fee Deferral.

You're frosh, right? You can get your TCard anytime during business hours at Robarts Library. Bring your offer letter.

Alright, guys, I need someone to do me a favour.
If you already sent in your supporting documents and can (or have already) deferred your tuition, is the line "Student must provide supporting documents" gone from the checklist when you check your OSAP application status?
The OSAP site tells me that the financial office needs to receive and approve my supporting documents. I know the financial aid office received it since I went there in person, but does it really take 3 weeks to approve? And without them being approved, I don't think I'll be able to defer my tuition. It certainly doesn't show on the engineering portal for me.

Once you actually get your entitlement from OSAP, the "Student must provide supporting documents" IS gone from the checklist with only "Student Must Confirm Enrollment". And my OSAP approval took longer than 3 weeks, probably a month since from the time I sent my supporting documents in the mail.

guys I just went to the actual Awards and Admissions / Financial Aid office on bloor beside Varsity center and they give you a fee deferral form and you take it to the registrar and that's it.. its deferred! You don't have to do it online... my signatures haven't even been processed yet but I got it them to defer it, so go there!

everyone should be ok.
if your not in engineering, you should pick up the deferral form. I didn't, but it came in the mail two days ago and I plan on handing it in tmr.
You sign the deferral form and hand it in to your registrar's office. Once that is done, you will lose the 'INVIT' status.
I know everyone is worried about supporting documents, but don't worry.
On the first week of classes (for first years, since it takes longer) go to your registrar's office with SIN card and Student ID. They will hand you papers that you need to fill out. Some things to include are bank deposit info, or a blank cheque, any income earned between the time of the application and time of pickup.
Once that is done, there will several locations you can hand the form in, including postal offices or a room at Robarts Library on the 3rd floor i believe.

Where do I check if it still says INVIT?

What did you bring? I don't have the Notification of Assessment (or something like that) document. Do I just go with my T-Card, maybe my invoice from ROSI too?

Look up your timetable on ROSI. Underneath it, where it explains what course is what (it's a chart). It'll say REG STATUS: followed by what it is.

which document are you referring too?
i just read TFB's post.
He had the signature pages which were acquired after signing up on OSAP. You can print them or they send you a copy to your house. The pages are where you sign and/or parents agreeing to all their rules, and what not.
You hand that form into the Admissions office.
After that, TFB also picked up a deferral form from the office. He handed that into the registrar's office (at your college). They then change his status from INVIT to REG.

I think he means the Notification of Assessment. He mentioned it in an earlier post.
