Future Shop and BB have exact same tv same model, same price but FS says it's $200 savings while BB is their regular price ???

Just be aware of the tactics of the Big Box stores

I bet they will catch some people with this.

In any case I'm looking for a GOOD deal on a name brand LCD in the $600 range that isn't some kind of price manipulation gimmick.

Thanks

They do this stuff all the time. I've seen numerous times where the pansys at FS will inflate the listed regular price of an item to make it look like a better deal. (ex. a $100 will be on sale for $10 off but when the sale time comes, the regular price will be listed at $120, so now all of the sudden the sale becomes $30 instead of $10).

The only thing you can really do is just be an informed shopper and make sure you do your home before you buy.

Or you could be lazy and just post the deal on RFD and let the masters critique the $hit outta it.

EDIT: As for a reputable LCD brand....I've heard nothing but good things about Sammy. I would stay away from Sharp b/c of the banding issues.

$699.99 for that TV is actually excellent even though that's Best Buy's new regular price. It's the best one you'll find at that price. Do not whatever you do buy the 32" Sony Bravia L4000 or M4000 over this TV.

The only TVs I know of at $699.99 are this Sharp and maybe the 32" Toshiba AV500 (I think that's the model number). This Sharp is likely better.
