Mazda 5 or Misubishi Outlander

Please help,
We're having a tough deciding on which vehicle to buy.
Mazda 5 or Mitzubishi Outlander.
Does anyone have any knowledge about either vehicle?

Just returned a leased mazda3 and went with the outlander 4wd es. The mazda was a decent car but really bad driving in the winter. No traction whatsoever, needed winter tires.
Test drove Mazda cx7, Nissan Rogue, Honda Crv...by far the Outlander was the best bang for the buck. The warranty was also much better than everyone else. Check out the Manitoba Green colour.

can't really compare a small minivan to a small suv, mazda 5 sits 6, outlander sits 5. so its really your own preference

on the other hand, my dad has an outlander and so far so good

OMG!!! What a POS!!! A car that needs winter tires... and in the winter no less! I would never buy one of those.

The Outlander drives like a truck, not a comfortable ride at all. Pray that you get a good one as the dealership service departments are quite poor (in the GTA).

I have a Mazda 5, owned it for 3 years now, and it's been really good in the winter. It's more of a sport wagon than a minivan. I've had no problems getting around the snowy conditions, and the ride is very car like and smooth. Plus, I get close to 40mpg on the highway! Bet you can't say that about the Outlander! Only beef I have is that the 4 cyl engine could be peppier.
