National except for Quebec.

On July 31st, seniors get 20x Optimum points on almost anything in-store OR get 20% off all regular priced items. There is no minimum spend requirement. In order to take advantage of the 20% off, the senior does not need to be an Optimum member. The 20x points will be added automatically at the register.

Program Exclusions for 20x points:
• Bonus Points
• Prescriptions
• Products with codeine
• Non-pointable items
• Tobacco Products (where applicable)
• Lottery Tickets
• Stamps
• Event Tickets
• Transit Tickets and Passes
• Electronic Gift Cards
• Phone Cards
• Life Experiences Packages
• Shoppers Home Health Care Locations
Not to be used in conjunction with any other Shopper Optimum Points promotions or offers.

• All Sale and Advertised items
• Prescriptions
• Products with codeine
• Tobacco Products (where applicable)

• Stamps

• Prestige Cosmetics

• Life Experience Packages
• Prepaid Phone Cards,
• Milk (Atlantic Only)

A couple questions...

A senior is 65 or older right?

Also would one be able to get the 20% discount and then redeem points to pay for the balance? I.e. buy something for $190 less 20% (approx $150) and then cash in 75000 points to pay for it. Effectively turning the deal into a quasi bonus redemption day.

sorry to bump an old thread...what age does SDM consider as senior?
