I think it's a store run rebate (Dumoulin in Quebec, Audiotronic outside Quebec) and not a manufacturer's rebate. The same $100 rebate offer is spread throughout the flyer on several different items.

I got an email from a friend who just called head office. It is a corporate rebate, franchises are not included. Only certain Ottawa Audiotronic stores and the corporate Quebec Dumoulin ones are offering it.

Hi all,

I'm looking for a good deal on the Nikon D40 with or without the extra lens. I think this is the best price I've seen it (outside of the Audiotronics deal in this thread) as I'm not near Ottawa/Quebec to get it for $399. Any comments or suggestions as to where else I can look for a good deal on this?
