hi :)
been looking at the different companies for prepaid plans and found that i like telus 25 cents a minute , rogers 25/15 per minute(with 100$ card) and petro 20 cents per minute. now the problem i am having is deciding on which phone.

i really like the Motorola razr 3? and the Motorola 835 but then i have been reading horror stories about bad batteries and even after replacing them the phones still wont hold any real power in them. 2 of the plans have these or similar phones so has anyone had that problem?

i need a flip phone and a long sized one since i hate talking into air and have a big head. the razr is slim but perfect for length. there is also a lg 8600 chocolate flip at telus but is really expensive for me. the nokia 2680? from petro and 7/11 is OK but for the same price doesn't look as nice as the razr but is it more solid?

I'm leaning towards telus and starting with a 50 dollar 25c per min with a top up of 10 per month since i would get 50 from buying the phone right off the bat but I'm still trying to decide and the phone itself is more important at the moment since the plans are real close.

thanks for any help :)

I went with the nokia 2680. It is available at the source (Radio Shack) I believe it is $49. Comes with bonus blue tooth ear piece. I purchased mine from Future Shop on Boxing day for $40, it also came with a bonus $50 airtime credit which had to be activated by Dec.31. Still, at $49 it's a good deal. I believe it now comes with a $10 credit, as well as the earpiece. I decided to go with the Rogers 1cent evenings & weekends plan. ( 1 cent / minute) daytime charges are 39 cents/min. This is a good deal if the phone is only used for emergencies, during the day. You can use it freely after 8:00pm daily, & on the weekends. Other comparable options to check out are the 7-11 phones, 20cents/minute--all times. Petro Canada phones, 25cents / minute--all times. I went with Rogers, so i can use it after 8:00pm & weekends for only 1 cent / minute.

So would this work with $100 Vouchure card + the evening plan you mentioned??? If so, that's warm!!! :-0:-0:-0
