I'm in the BComm Program.... i'll be starting in Sept
Hospitality & Tourism.
I graduated from Humber... all the courses were either A's or B's.

I just got a phone call from the TCU (transfer credit unit) and they said that the courses weren;t related.

Appeal? i'm going to need help w/ that.

You didn't check this at all before hand?

First year courses usually transfer fine overall, but can we please have more info?

Do some research, find comparable courses.

...search for my thread on this same issue at UBC, a poster had some great insight as a former Admissions officer.

You have to look at the chart of your college courses for which there are equivalents to Ryersons courses.

btw: How do you set up your Ryerson Rmail?

look up the course calendar, check the description. is it comparable to your courses. Bring your course calendar from college. They will use it to make it equivalent.

there is a list that i used when i applied for exemptions. the list is from YOUR school, so u can search there. the list basically shows all the courses that ppl apply for exemptions through Ryerson, then it will show the ONLY exemptable courses from your school.

from the 5 reach back exemptions in addition to my direct transfer into 3rd year b.comm at ryerson, only 1 was offered at my school (gbc) and luckily i took it already. but then again, i did apply for 2 other exemptions (liberal electives) too in addition.

Well u are paying around $270 per course in College and u expect they can be transfered 1:1? think logically man.
You are lucky if you can get 20-course exemption with your 3-year diploma which is worth 2 years of study at Ryerson.
