For anyone that owns a ps3 and doesn't own COD4: you absolutely have to pick this up. It is simply an amazing game. If you are at all into FPS, the multiplayer will keep you busy for atleast 100 hours.

BB is selling COD4 game of the year version for $39.99 now, tomorrow is that last day I think. I know, it's not $29.99, but it has new maps so that I don't need to buy them separately on xbox live market, don't know how much that worth though. You might want to consider that. :)

That is an amaaaaaaazing price for COD4. The gameplay is SO worth the money at this price a thousand times over!! The multiplayer is gonna be getting some new game modes too like Barebones Deathmatch I think, with no perks, just your guns and your guts...so no more whining about martyrdom, juggernaut, etc...lol...

Playing with the controller is NOT difficult at all! That's what's great about this game...Infinity Ward did an excellent job of creating some ultra smooth controls.

They are so easily picked up that, within a few rounds of multiplayer, you'll be running, jumping, ducking, and going prone all while using short controlled bursts with whatever LMG (RPD's my favourite weapon) you decide to use to peg people off. It makes it so easy to start having fun quickly! Awesome price! I bought mine for $35 used :( then again that was six months ago and about 7 logged days worth of multiplayer haha...damn...that's 168 hours of my life spent dominating Backlot and Countdown (and getting dominated too most of the time actually lol) on Team Deathmatch hahaha...

Well its obviously different from the 360 design but the PS3 control is more Universal friendly compared to the 360 one. Each one has its own advantages, just give it sometime to get used to, shouldn't have any problems.

COD 3 is already $30 at BB. As for the rest I'd wait till BB or FS has one of those 2 for $50 type deals or when they have those weekend sales and have games for 10% or 15% off. COD4 is really the only solid deal here unfortunately it'll be hard to PM at BB or FS since it seems they only carry the GOTY edition of COD4 for PS3.

I was never into SciFi Historic games like it was described. Bough it on special one day figuring I had nothing to loose.

Boy was I blown away for a launch title! Great, immersing single player experience as far as story game play and missions. Great AI being either allies or foes. I can only say good thing about it, also multiplayer was great.

Play it in the dark with a nice home theater, you'll be in for a suprise. For 29.99$ you can't go wrong.

Actually, he's right. The PS controller was primarily designed for an Asian market, and Asians tend to have smaller hands than North Americans. As you may recall, when Microsoft released the original Xbox they created different controllers for the Asian and North American markets, with the Asian controller considerably smaller so it would be more comfortable. North Americans found the oversized controller silly, though, and Microsoft eventually made the Asian controller standard for both markets. When designing the 360, Microsoft, primarily being successful in the North American market, decided to make a larger controller that was a little more comfortable for people in North America (and a little less comfortable for those in Asia). Sony's primary market is Asia, so their controller is designed the other way around.

I know that, that's why I said #1 and #3 in my post was the same except for the ESRB rating. Some stores won't pricematch the game because it looks different e.g. RP instead of M etc. They'll use any kind of excuse including FS etc.

Also, the COD4 GOTY edition should cost more than the regular version because it has the additional maps which costs extra.

The one that RCSS sells is without the maps. RCSS carries both versions, the regular one (non-GOTY) for $29.99 and they also have the GOTY version for $59.99.

actually, a lot of times i'd prefer going to the entertainment dept. ppl to ask for a PM, esp. when there's a line at checkout.
there's usually at least one compy. and phone to accompany the dept., and they can still make phone calls/check online prices whenever necessary

only prblm is, you can only pay by CC/DC, no cash.

Well not really anymore. Technically the sale ended last week for the COD4 as the flyer prices were only valid till Friday, so if you are able to still get a PM then you're just lucky.

I went to Walmart in Square One over the weekend and picked up Resitance in the normal clear case for $29.99

I hate having the different coloured cases so when a game goes Greatest Hits, so if there is one I want, I get it when it is first announced so I can pick up one of the normal copies left.

ya i am the same way.. i guess i kinda want the non greatest hits version... which i also got for resistance.. but for ninja gaiden i could barely find it and had to use the greatest hits version.. maybe i can ask BBV for an empty case so i can put it in a white one and just have the greatest hits title around the side instead of a whole red case...damn i wish i got COD4 at this price.. booo
