Hi, I have been accepted to UBC Okanagan (but I originally wanted to go to the Vancouver campus) and several colleges in the States including Ball State University in Indiana. I want to major in Urban Planning and several reliable sources said that Ball State offers very good telecommunication, architecture, and Urban Planning programs. Originally I wanted to go to Ryerson University in Toronto but have been put on waitlist and I won't likely be accepted this year.
Also UBC main campus does not offer urban planning, the only related bachelor's program is Environmental Design. And UBC Okanagan, well...offers pretty much nothing.
I really need good advice, and anyone who has attended Okanagan and has transfered to the main campus, can you give me any advice? Also those who have studied environmental design or urban planning, I need your advice as well!

Why not just attend a local college for your first year of studies, then transfer second year?
All you have to do is...
1.) Keep you GPA above 3.0 (generally)
2.) Make sure your courses transfer ahead of time (Transfer Guide)
3.) Apply early, and get your transcripts in on time
It's a cheaper, and easier way to reach the Post secondary institution of your choice.
First year courses are very similar across all institutions anyways...
Take a look at Kwantlen, VCC, and see if it suits you.

yea, i know about the rankings. but the problem is, i gota considered the tuition price, and overall, Ball State is a state school and usually considered a "C" school, even though it has gotten alot better these years.

Absolutely NOT TO LATE. This is the cheapest, most practical and most logical choice for you.
