Wireless number availability?

Is their any way to check the availability of a number before calling in? I seem to always get rude customer service reps, when I call in to change the number. Is their a way to check online?

if you're with Rogers... you can log into your account, navigate to change wireless number... then it will show you 10 numbers at a time... refresh the page every few minutes to get more available numbers... this is one method I know of - the other, put up a WTB post up on BST... there's always those that are trying to sell numbers they have.
