Does anyone know if this product "Audiovox 2501316 Universal Electronic Cruise Control System" (It's a kit) is ever on sale anywhere? I know a number of store carry it but I have never seen it on sale.

Canadian Tire has it for the cheapest I have seen at $216.06 last time I checked (a couple weeks ago).

Do any of you know where I could find it for less?

Thank you,
Matt

Have you tried eBay?

Yes, I have seen it for $170 CDN + $35 shipping on Ebay so the difference would be $10 off the CDN tire price, for the difference I would prefer to buy it from a local store rather than Ebay.

To clarify my question further, I have seen it at various autoparts stores and was just wondering if anyone ever recalls seeing them on sale. I'm wondering if I should just buy it from CDN Tire or wait for a sale at one of my local auto parts stores.

Hmm I never really recall seeing this stuff on sale but then again I don't look for it. Which I think is the case with most other people as well. These days most people will just have a car that has cruise on it (what car in this day and age doesn't have cruise control?). Back in the 80s stuff like this was more popular, probably went on sale more often.

For $10 difference though, yes, I would definitely just buy it here. Surprising units like this don't go for cheap on eBay (again I never looked but just assumed they would be by now). Do you need that exact model? Are there others that you could use that might be cheaper?

If you chat up some CSR chick or something at Cdn. Tire you may be able to get them to look up the "last sale price" for you ;) Or in lieu of flirting you could just say you bought it, lost the receipt (or got it as a gift) and want to return in and want to find out how much you would get in credit for it if you did. In this case that's exactly what they do--give you the last sale price in store credit--so just giving them the hypothetical may let you know if it's been on sale in the last 90 days and for how much :)

That's a great idea! We'll I'm off to CDN Tire to see what I can do... it's been a while since I've had to use my 'flirting' skills so wish me luck! haha

No luck! I'm guessing that it was because it never actually comes on sale... it to the lady about 5 min to find the item I was talking about and I didn't get much further than that.

Ahh well, I may just go ahead and buy it... for $50 either way I'll sure be happy to have cruise control for my bi-weekly 7 hour drive accross Ontario.

Thanks guys!
Matt
