He wants to get pay as you go with Rogers, and he was thinking of adding like $300 to his account or something, and he was wondering if there was an expiry date on the funds or something? Like after a month the funds disappear no matter how high and go back to $0.

Also he was actually wondering if Pay as you go was really good for him, he doesn't use his cell phone alot (only for emergencies), but he does text/email alot.

And he wanted to get a 3g iphone (he loves mine, hes so jealous:cheesygri), he doesn't need a data plan, our work has wifi and his house has wifi, so he was thinking of using the pay as you go plan with his iphone.

Can he do that and how much will it cost him?

Also hes willing to get a really cheap phone contract just to get the iphone, but he wanted to look at his options/choices first.

Can you guys tell me what to tell this guy at work tomorrow?

THANKS!

There is a $100 voucher card that can be purchased and applied to the Pay As You Go account. It expires after 365 days. All other vouchers expire in 90 days or less.

Yeah - no sense for your "friend" to add $300 at one time. Either add $20 a month, or $100 for the year.

Pay As You Go would work on an iPhone - but watch the data use. 5 cents a KB (so about $3.50 to check out cnn.com)

Why not check their website?
