View Full Version : Question: Shouldn't seat belts be mandatory on buses/coaches?

Obviously in the training books and i'm assuming law since you can get ticketed for this is that you can only have as many passengers in your car as you do have working seat belts.

So how come buses (TTC/GO); School Buses; Coach buses not follow this rule? Are they exempt? And why?

Enforcement is one thing; but I don't get why for regular vehicles (those that require your G) have to follow this rule and others do not!

They are not required. This has been looked at many times over the years. Most coaches, and school buses have high back seats to keep occupants from projecting forward.
