View Full Version : Where to Buy, UV Inhibitor Coating Protectant Sealer Clear Coat?

I'm looking to buy some UV Inhibitor Coating Protectant Sealent to use on my headlights, I wet sanded them and Used PlastX on them but after a day the haze up again untill I use PlastX on them again I need some type of clear coat on them I bought some Clear Coat paint from home deput but it didn't work when I put it on it glazed the lights to bad and I had to sand it off.
Some one say you have to get stuff that is think and you brush it on to keep them clear but he doesn't know the name of it?

Canadian tire sells a kit for headlights. Maybe use that? I should come with the right sealer.

Try car wax. There's also the protective plastic film that sticks on. Don't use a spray on product as the solvent will dissolve the plastic on the lens.

someone told me I could buy some stuff that you brush on that think but I don't know what it is called or anything.

It's called "clear coat". It comes in a spray can. The problem is if the solvent is not compatible with the plastic in your headlight, it will start to disovle and ruin it. Buy a few different brands and test them in hidden spot.
I would just use car wax every 2-3 months and you won't have a problem.
You could try something like floor wax if you are looking for a brush on product

Alot of people say the use Megiures NXT or something like that but there is 2 differrent kinds of it Spray bottle $14 and a tub of it $30
