quick question.
regarding insurance
does it affect the Driver during the offense or the owner of the vehicle if the 2 are not the same.

If the ticket is issued to the driver with the driver's DL number, upon a conviction it will show on the driver's abstract that is available to the insurance company.

It should not impact the owner, unless the driver is a secondary driver on the vehicle.
