Hey Guys,

I just renewed my 3-year contract with Rogers and I need to take advantage of my HUP. I haven't HUPed before, so I'm not sure what my discounts are going to be, the CSR said I was in the 2nd highest or highest bracket.

So I need a new phone, will be used as my primary phone. I don't want a slider, I'm a phone in the front pocket kind guy, so nothing big. I'm mainly aiming at having just a phone, but wouldn't mind a small PDA (without a data plan) for jotting down notes or listening to music.

What do you guys recommend? I don't mind flip phones or bar phones, and don't want to pay more than $50 (I'm basing my choice on Rogers 3-year new signup prices, hoping that my 3-year renewal price will be less).

I checked out Rogers.com, but their website is flakey, and I'm not sure what's good.

Thanks!

Sony Ecrisson K850I?

Quite small and amazing camera. I don't know too much about this phone, but its worth taking a look at.

stay away from the K850 if you know what's good for you. absolutely bs of a phone by sony ericsson. terrible terrible phone. sure it's feature loaded but chances are it will have some sort of software problem after you buy it.

k850? Amazing camera? Feature-loaded? Have you guys ever used it?! Its horrible! Fat, ugly uncomfortable keys, crappy sensors therefore crappy camera.. the list goes on. If you want a cheap but good reliable phone for only $50, try an entry-level Nokia.

if you are on 2nd highest tier, you will pay same price as new activations and $35 admin fee waived. That's pretty much it.
