Recommend me a Sony Ericsson Phone

Hey guys can you help recommend me a sony ericsson phone.

I am looking for some of the features

Price Range max 180$
2MP or so
No Flip Phone
Not to big
Able to take 4GB pro duo memory card

Pretty much it i guess, I don't like the k850i because of the weird phones.

I had the w810i and thought that was a alsome phone cuz of the mp3 player with the alsome headphones sony ericsson has.

I considered the w850i but hard to find here. So hope you guys can help me.

The w580 basically fits your bill. Can be had for very cheap these days (cheapest I've seen was $100 for LNIB). Other than that, k810 is also pretty nice. I have to agree that the w810 was an awesome phone. It was built like a brick! Thing took a concrete wall and didn't suffer even a scratch lol but ya, I'd say the w580 would be your best bet.

EDIT: Whoops, didn't read closely enough lol. I'll also suggest the w850 since my friend has one and its a pretty sweet phone. There were a couple floating around the BST forum a while back, might still be available?

why not just use a memory stick micro, then use the free adapter that comes with the device to make it a memory stick pro duo?

the k790/w810 were great phones. I've heard good things about the k810 too. But after using the w580 and the k850, I've lost faith in SE and decided to jump ship to Nokia.

from afar, the w580 looks and sounds like a great phone. Once you start using it you realize it has many flaws. Just a heads up.

Ye the phone was amazing, the reason i ditched it was cuz i had phone disease lol, couldn't stay with 1 phone too long, but hoping to find that one phone to use for a long time :cheesygri

personally, if you're looking for a reliable phone newer than the w810 and k790, you shouldn't be looking at SE. They have really gone down after these models.

Not really looking for a newer phone, might get a k790. Whats the value of the phone right now????? saw one i the b/s/t forum for 150$ used i think.

Sony Eric w810 is the best model i've gone by. The 580i has a major flaw the keys get cracked and makes the numbers unusable. The 790 is pretty good if you want a really good camera. The W810 still takes good pics tho!

Sony Eric w810 is the best model i've gone by. The 580i has a major flaw the keys get cracked and makes the numbers unusable. The 790 is pretty good if you want a really good camera. The W810 still takes good pics tho!

W910i is way more manly than the W580i, though I have both, I like the W910i better, plus the W910i keypad doesn't crack.

I have seriously had most SE phones for the last 1-2 yrs...

As for phones < $180:

K790 - great camera, music player not as good, bit bulky
K550 - some might not like the look, camera decent, can be flashed to have walkman 2.0
W610 - same as above, no camera lens cover
W580 - love the phone, personal preference, not bothered by the cracked keys. camera really sucks balls
W810i - I like the mixed colour mods, i.e. black/silver mod (K750i colourway) or white/black mod (search my old FS threads, looks really classy). Great camera, music player is good, nice overall phone.

Phones close to $200:
K850i - great camera (dispite people's unfair comparisions), love the music player - walkman 3.0
W910i - decent camera, again walkman 3.0
W880 - I think the silver/black one is VERY nice, ultra slim, good walkman, decent camera, but triband

If you like using your phone as a music player at all walkman 3.0 is the way to go...

I also wonder what the w810i walkman version is???? is it 2.0??? i am not to picky on walkman version 3 or 2 but just wondering.

The w760 has great reviews all round. It is the successor to the w580 and makes improvements upon it.

A bit out of your price range at about $370+tax, but just something to consider.

When you said the k790 music player is not as good, what you mean by that??? also wondering when listing to music do you hear the bass/beats good on the phone???

would you say the music player is better, worst, or same as the w810i

ok so finally it has come to the k790 or the k550, from what RLP06 said i like the design of the k550 and button lights up blue :)

but the k790 has a 3.2MP camera, its looks a bit ugly and heard music player isn't that good.
