Hey, I just recently found out I am offered a corporate plan from my company.
Is it possible to buy an iPhone through this?
Also, can I buy two plans on the corporate plan - one for me and the other for my husband? Is it better to do so both with the same service provider - Rogers or one from Rogers and one from Bell?

Do you mind sharing which company is the plan for? I work at TD and they already had a TD corporate plan but when I called the Rogers rep to order the iphone with the corporate plan, he said it is not eligible with the Iphone.

My mom's a teacher, so she gets this plan through her board.
Yesterday, she used the corporate plan to buy a phone for herself and as far as I can remember, the rep told me I could purchase an iPhone but I will have to pay $249 instead of $199 because my voice package is less than $30.
But now, I was wondering if I could get the same plan for myself through the same service provider as my mom - Rogers.

I have a corporate plan too and the rogers customer rep told me they dont provide iphone on corprorate plan.
Also they say if i buy a regular plan and my voice plan is less than 30 dollars, i would have to pay additional 50 dollars, what rip off....

Hm... that is odd.
The rep told me otherwise. Maybe you cannot upgrade to an iPhone under a corporate account but you can buy one as a new customer?

corporate with the iphone is such a mixed up story right now and not until the 24th there will be official info.
Anyways from what i've been gathering is that new corporate activations can get the iphone, the same way as normal plans.
if your doing a corp HUP however they either would say you can't right now(wait till the 24th) or give a ridiculously high amount i.e $599/$699 or tell you to get your company to sign that you can get the iphone on their plan but I still think you will be paying more than a new customer.

I didn't have a problem getting the 8gb iphone for $199 on a $20/mo plan. Funny thing is that I still get 3g internet even though I explicitly stated that I would not pay for any 3g internet charges.

MasZakyr, that means it is not turned off. I strongly suggest you keeping calling them to make sure it is complete turned off. Otherwise, you might get charged a ridiculous amount of money.
Now, can anyone tell me if I can activate 2 phones/lines from Rogers, both at my corporate account price plan?

Wait! I hope you are not in trouble. Did you tell them to block data? If you don't, you will still have 3G access with 5 cents per KB. You don't play for a data plan does not mean you don't have data access unless you tell them to block data. You may have a big data charge by now.

"Individual not paying for any incurred 3g data charges" is clearly written on the contract. I doubt there will be any issues.

I had a long discussion with rogers corporate cust. serv. and the supervisor there as well. they tell me that you cant upgrade to iphone on corporate plan and guess what my HUP credit that i had before getting corporate plan has been slashed to half for some reason...
i thought briefly about N95 instead of iphone, and that plan was shut down when i was told i would have to pay 299 for that after 100 rebate, whereas futureshop is selling it at 99 for new customers....BS.

that's strange. I talked to a rep and they said once the Corporate contract between businesses and Rogers is signed, the iPhone is available for upgrade. I just have to pay 199 for the phone. There is a 75 dollar credit but that goes towards an admin fee.

I guess they take each corporate separately. I work for TD, so perhaps they have not yet signed it yet....too bad for me.
Does anyone know if i switch to regular account, can i upgrade, since my contract expired last year.

I suggest you call retentions and get on a good retentions plan (since you're no longer on contract). Negotiate exactly what you want; they are often better than corporate plans. From there, ask for your iPhone upgrade. That way, you can get the iPhone for close to the promotional price, and have a good voice plan to accompany it.

shock of all shocks, or should i call it a joke.
i called up to switch from corporate to regular customer so i can upgrade, and was told actually now i am eligible to upgrade as corporate customer only, and the price is...........599 for 8 gig. what a joke.
and they told me if i switch to regular customer i cant go back as corporate soon (might take year or 2 even he said) also my hardware upgrade status might be set to new, so not eligible anymore....lol...wtf.

So as an existing corporate plan consumer, will i ever be able to receive an iphone for the $199 or $249 (without data) price point by renewing my contract for 3 years?

I'd like to know if you can get the iphone with a $10/mo for 250 mins mega promotional plan and still get it for $199.
Best I can muster was $20/mo for 250 mins and 2500 test msgs.
BTW is it true rogers has monthly updates for the iphone that you are forced to make via 3g?

My dad called the main Rogers in Vancouver today (cantonese line). I'm currently under my dads $18 corp plan. The associate told my dad that he can HUP, and the iPhone 8GB will cost $345 + $35 system activation fee. Also can take $10 off the $30 data plan. So $20 ontop of the exisiting $18 plan. He also advised my dad not to switch out of the $18 corp plan, because it doesn't exist anymore, and is a great deal.
Now just deciding whether to take the deal or not. I take the deal, I get the iPhone he gets my W810i, and he can dump his aging Nokia 6620 or something that hes been complaing about.

Hey guys, I just had a thought. Would it be possible for me to purchase the iPhone on the corporate plan and then give that sim to my dad, since he uses prepaid at the moment and needs a plan. And possibly, I could use his prepaid card on my iPhone 3G? If yes, would you recommend doing this? This also benefits me because I might be going on exchange after a year so I will not be be stuck with a contract.

At the Rogers store (or any other wireless store that sells Rogers iPhone's), all corporate plan owners have to call rogers directly to get an iPhone. The rogers store guy says on Aug 15th that will change and you will be able to buy from the store BUT he couldnt tell me how much it would be. Anyone know? Is it the same "deal" thats given by calling rogers?
