Took me 10 mins to find this trick, but do this... if you have an old card and put to the phone.

iPhone 3G menu > Mail/Calendar/Contacts > Import SIM contacts >SIM import

Nice to see that they added this function. On the 2G iPhone you had to download an app to copy contacts from your sim.

christ... I spent an hour doing it manually a few days ago.

Although, mine were in a rogers sim (fido iphone) not sure if it'd have still worked.

...are you kidding me?

DAMMIT. And I decide to come on here after I re-enter all my contacts.

CRAP!

Nice piece of advice, this deserves a bump.

I did this first thing, but it only worked partially. It imported about half the contacts, the others it did not :(

Well.. here's another one for ppl...

how would you export a contact from iphone to the sim card?

i know you can do itunes + contacts sync but a feature of contact on iphone to sim card seems to be missing...

It would be the same thing.. if you got your iphone from rogers... but you have a fido sim card it should work... but i would imagine that you will have to activate your rogers a/c and not your fido since your contract is with fido. if you got it from fido and you have a fido card, you can use your old card as you tell them you want to use your old card. Or alternatively just switch your fido # to a rogers# and use that sim card.

borrow an unlocked phone and copy your fido sim contacts to a rogers sim, easy as pie, problem solved. not sure why no one else though of this
