purchasing iphone from us

if i purchased a 3g iphone from the states would i be able to activate it through rogers or would i have to wait for the 3g jailbreak?

roger wont sell me the iphone for cheap. Im going to have to upgrade my voice plan. I also got a new phone around feb, so HUP is not an option.

i believe iphones now all require in-store activation?

so there should be no way they'll let you walk out of the store with a non-activated iphone...

maybe if you can pull it off without activation,
then go back home, unlock it, then you're set...no need for rogers activation
