This guy & the lady should be fined up to their one-month's worth of salary for not wearing a helmet while riding a powered transport

quick question .. what kind of camera did you use? in what settings .. it's obvious that most of the vehicles are moving and it looks great.

Try and get a couple shots of the chinese buicks. They make some decent cars over there that they don't bring to the US market for fear of being too competitive with cadillac

Um. That's China not Canada. People don't even wear seatbelts going 100km/h while holding their baby and driving with highbeams the minute it gets dark.

Wow! If I do that in GTA, I'd be buried by tons of traffic tickets!

I can't legally drive here.. and the conditions are too messed up anyways. No traffic laws are enforced at all. That is my dad driving.

Canon EOS 400D, most shots taken at ISO100, between f/9 and f/11, and around 1/30 shutter.

nope. u think the chinese commoners can afford insurance?

So your family lives in China and owns a foreign vehicle, man your family is so rich. I would be envying you if I was still in China.

Since your dad can afford the car and the insurance, by your standard you are no commoner, so an elitist?

The Camry isn't a "foreign" vehicle, in that it's technically made in China and not subject to the high import duties. Now if you owned an Escalade (equivalent of USD$160k starting price) then you'd be a real baller. My parents bought a Subaru Forester (Made in Japan) base model, which has the 2.0 base Impreza engine that isn't even available in North America and it cost them US$30k+.

The Camry is known as a Japanese vehicle, regardless where it is made.

Camry isn't really a foreign vehicle as it is made in China. I don't really know how much it costed but I remember it was the USD/CAD equivalent of 40-50k..? Don't hold me to that though. My aunt is picking up a Volvo C30 for Y420,000 after duties/taxes lol.. that's like $60k CAD/USD

I think the Chinese Camry looks better than the North American version. Thought it was a VW Passat until I saw the grill logo.

Wow, does your family have a huge successful business going on over there? 420k yuan is more than 20 year salary for the average joe.

Not really, my aunt's business has nothing to do with my dad's. They both started out in the states, but their companies sent them to China for expansion purposes lol.

highbeams? are u kidding

from being in china, i would say 80% of them don't even know where their headlight switch is.

that being said, we squeezed 7 adults into a honda FIT and we almost got hit by cars without lights about 3 times on a single trip

when it gets dark, they don't understand the concept of lighting systems is to provide OTHER drivers the ability to 'see' you.

agreeing with Vortec, you do NOT want to drive on the roads in china. even in very urban populated cities (not villages), traffic rules are not rules at all, and simply colourful signage. ppl pass on the shoulders all the time on highways and slowing down to 30km/h for no apparent reason is not uncommon.

as is many many horse drawn AND ppl drawn rickshaws being seen on the highways.

In and around my wife's town, everyone had their highbeams on at night. I don't know how they can drive with every on coming car blinding them. I did not pay attention to how it was in a big city like Guangdong.

Yeah the shoulder on the highway is just another lane. Then there are cars with special plates like Army plates. They can drive where ever the hack they want.

If you drive a nice car you also own the road. A nice car will bully the cheaper car, and be bullied by an even nicer car with an even more special plate. Then everyone get's owned by an Audi "police" car flashing red and blue leds in the grill and blasting sirens, on their way to buy groceries or pick up someone's kids from school.

A family friend has a LS600, once he turns on the highbeam HIDs everyone turns off their highbeams...
