Tree service in Toronto

I'm looking to have some trees pruned in my backyard and am wondering if someone knew of an affordable service in Toronto?
So far I've had one astronomically high quote.
I used to know a guy that would remove a mid-sized tree for $100 dollars but he's since moved to the States.
Hoping someone out there knows of a "guy".

After my 3rd quote I'm starting to realize that $250 is the industry minimum just for showing up.
One way to save money (other than doing it yourself) is to wait for the winter when prices can drop by 30%.
