It's a decent TV. I bought it refurb'd pretty much a year ago for $1300.

I returned first one because it had one stuck pixel (red one right in the middle). That unit also buzzed.

2nd unit was good, but devloped some stuck green pixels after a week. lol! I decided not to bring it back but rather just enjoy the tv. I haven't noticed them stuck pixels since (unless I'm inches away from tv).

I'd say pay the extra $200 for the Olevia. At least that one is brand new and is a more highly regarded set.

Had heard some good stuff about Vizio in the past but has been a while since i done some tv shopping, thinking this may make a great screen for pc......lol...after reading avsforums regarding this set,it seems like a pretty good tv for the price although refurb and tigerdirect problay the only knocks i would have against it and for the price i don't think you could go wrong.I know their are some wallymart plasma deals but for i want to go lcd for computer reasons and based on what i have read i don't think their is 47' lcd in this price range with comparable quality although the Olevia seems about the only thing close.

Has anyone gotten this TV lately? It seems like quite the good deal and I am itching to get it but Tiger direct worries me as I am in BC

mine should be arriving on tuesday. we'll see how it works out.

I was also kind of worried about tigerdirect, but I couldn't pass this deal up.

We actually purchased one of these at work recently. It's not bad. Ours didn't have any dead pixels, at least not that we've found yet in the RGB/white screens. The speakers are okay, but chances are you may be attaching it to an external speaker setup anyway.
