Hey folks.
I don't post deals often, but I felt like I struck gold with this one and couldn't find it listed.
I had actually seen a member on here earlier mention the company and checked it out and for the past week have been more than pleased!

There are a ton of webhosting companies out there and I have NEVER paid for webhosting for all my websites - A true cheapskate - I merely jumped from one to the other and the fact that I paid for this one speaks volumes.

Anyways
www.webhostingpad.com (www.webhostingpad.com)

Is offering 42 months of webhosting WITH a free domain name for $117.56

Their current promotion is $3.95 per month for three years with 6 months free
You are already saving $23.70
There is also a $25 coupon that can be applied at checkout savenow which deducts an additional $25 of the price bring it down to $117.56USD
Effectively making their service $2.78/mo - I throw that many pennies away a month!

This coupon also works on all their other plans!
I also at one point got a "live rep" which offered me an extra month free when I went onto the first order page and then hit the exit button. Couldn't get it to duplicate again though. Only happened on the 6 Month term, but potentially you could get a 6 month term for $14.75!

The downside is this is payable in full immediately. But with a 30 day return policy whats to loose.
Plan includes:
Web Hosting Plan Include:

UNLIMITED* Hosting Space
UNLIMITED* Bandwidth
Host UNLIMITED Domains
Unlimited Email Accounts
Unlimited Databases
Unlimited FTP Accounts
Free Site Builder
Get up to 6 months FREE (WOW)

CGI, Ruby (RoR), Perl, PHP, MYSQL
Anti Virus and SPAM Protection
Free Domain Name for life
Ecommerce Enabled w/ Secure Server
$50 ™ Ad credit* (HOT)
$25 ™ Ad credit*
$30 ™ Ad credit*
Free Professional Consulting (WOW)

*New Accounts only

Now I have been with them for only a week, but have already had to use their customer care twice for IBK errors on my end and DAMN they were fast. Problems were resolved quickly. Setup was fairly fast and switching websites over has been a breeze. I also registered a new website at the same time and things were all completed in a few days.

For those looking for a fast and reliable webhost this seems to be the one and much better than the dreamhost, netfirms, 1 & 1 and Canaca
of the past. I have used all of those and even got suckered into paying for the crappy service from a few and for me this beats them all out and the price

Please though anyone with a bad experience feel free to post. I only have 21 more days for a refund

I've personally never used Web Hosting Pad but I've recommended it to a few people and they've been very satisfied with it.

I wrote a short comparison here on my blog: http://www.jonlee.ca/web-hosting-recommendations/

The package looks great but don't be deceived by what is offered. Shared hosting providers will not let you use 12TB of bandwidth or 1200GB of disk space no matter what. Its moot to even list something like this since when you start pushing 12TB of bandwidth the requests per second will be pretty high which would eat a lot of cpu time the host would shut it down before even reaching anything this high. 99% of shared hosts advertise huge numbers so people will pick them.. honestly If it was me I would be more concerned with a host's load averages, what kind of bandwidth they offer/ peer with, where they are located and what else do they offer such as backups, etc. Shared hosting is becoming more of a "additional" service such as backups and what not and less on the bandwidth, space, etc.

Check any host out on webhostingtalk.com . These guys have some negative reviews there. They also have some positive reviews. Make sure you're informed before you buy hosting (I've hosted with some baaaaad companies along the way!)

Have you used them? I don't like the idea of overselling either, but it seems the people who have used the service like it.

I've got to agree on the shared hosting thing - they can put in any number they want but if you use it heavily they'll still screw you.

That being said a website for personal photographs/family ****/personal file server, they're just fine on this.

That being said I've had a cheaper deal with cirtex hosting for a while now. $25/y for hosting and $6/y for domain registration through godaddy. $75+18 = $93

this deal looks great and I'm going to go for it..

I've already got a .ca domain and I know I can sign up using that, but then it seems I don't get any domains for free and I don't get my .ca renewed "for life" as it says.

So should I sign up for a new .com domain and keep my old one too?

I was somewhat interested, but the following link pretty much killed it:

(An entire server has been down for days)

Wow. Staying away from them. I was with IXWebhosting and they were bad as well, well not as bad as webhostingpad (as per that forum). I'm with hostgator now; yeah its pricey (~10/month for unlimited domain hosting), but my sites have never been down and their support is fast with accurate responses.

I was gonna jump on this and try it out, but I think its worth staying with hostgator in exchange for no aggravation.

How do you get it for $25. I see $2.99/month. Thanks

Another month passed. No service, no refund and no motivation to do anything.

This company is a joke guys. Stay away.

I personally use Dreamhost for hosting, and never had any complaints. If you're looking for something more robust though, I found a really cheap place for a SERVER and it's really good.

www.ovh.fr

Yes the site is in French, but they offer their servers to Canadians; sorry US residents aren't open to this offer. For, 20 eurors a month you get a 100/100 line with unmetered bandwidth. And their line routing to North America is great. I can get 550kb/s downloading from my server.

Also, don't order from the UK site, because it'll cost 20 pounds and not 20 euros. Though, I'm not sure if you can even order from the UK site. Don't worry, your CP will be in English if you want it to be.

Great for hosting any small business.

Not meant to be rude, but I would NEVER recommend a host to anybody unless I've used them for at least a YEAR.

More importantly, $117 for 3 YEARS of web hosting (even with domain registration) is not exactly a "hot" deal: there are TONS of similar deals out there.

I have used these guys for a few months. They are decent nothing special. I'd give them a rating of about 6.5/10
