My daughter downloaded a few *ahem*'files'*ahem* thru LimeWire ... Fortunately, the bad files were caught by NOD32 before she opens them .... phew ...

I also scanned a bunch with AVG (free) and most (hopefully all) had been isolated.

Beware ! Make sure you talk to your kids/husband+wife/parents/brothers/sisters ...

Limewire is garbage,remove it from your computer,Their are great alternatives 95% virus free,Search around not hard to get.

As I recall from the last time the "MP3 virus" came up, these files are actually Windows Media files with scripting code that triggers unpatched versions of Windows Media Player to do nasty things. The file extension is mp3, but it won't do anything with programs other than Windows Media Player, which unfortunately scans the file content to determine how to play the file instead of going by the extension. If you don't try to play these files with WMP, or if your WMP is patched up to date, they can't do anything.

Thats why I don't trust microsoft's windows media player. Use WINAMP!!!
