reccomend good cable splitters

I have gotten a headache trying to figure this out. For some reason my internet started being really flaky all day today. I believe the problem is with the splitters, maybe wires I'm using to connect from outside the house to the cable modem.

I've been playing around with switching splitters (i need television as well as internet) and switching up the cables and I keep getting mixed results even when I use the same combination of splitters/cables. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to get the internet to work continuously without dying on me but no luck. Finally, giving up, I decided to disconnect the television, and connect the modem directly to the line coming in my house from outside. This seems to work but obviously I have no tv now.

Can you reccomend me some high quality splitters and where to pick up within GTA? Are there any other solutions? thanks in advance.

Splitters lower the signal strength, so if your cable signal is weak to start with, splitters could be enough to make it weak enough to cause instability with your internet.

See if you can get Rogers to install some repeaters or possibly boost the signal level for your house.

Are you using more/different splitters than what rogers originally put in? They charge for extra outlets, so if you're going to start calling in repair techs and you're using extra lines within the house, expect to be charged for it. At my old place, I had one splitter on the line going into the house, one side going into the modem and the other side going into a cable amplifier, which then fed the lines going into other splitters and whatnot. Not sure if that would work well for digital terminals, but for old analog lines it worked fine. You just can't amplify the line going into the modem.
