Normally I'm only there 2-3 days for training or some seminar so I don't usually get to do very much touring around.
I have a reservation at the Residence Inn Arlington Pentagon City that a friend had recommended, any recommendations on a hotel downtown less than $350/night range(family per diem). Don't care about traffic, parking fees since I don't think I'll need a vehicle.
I've been to the Smithsonian Air and Space museum close to Dulles airport, I read another poster that said take the Washington Monument elevator up. I know most of the museums are free, but at the moment, most of the names escape me.
And yes...I did search with some innocolous results
