I have some friends who i want to visit in London. I've been to the city twice before, so I am not going to need to see as much. The great thing is, the only things that absolutely must be nailed down are the flights between Dubrovnik-London, London-Dublin, Dublin-Edinburgh. The rest except for the Munich part, are all flexible and can be changed on the fly, on the trip.

The ones that matter the most booking wise is the for Dublin and Edinburgh, because they are the ones that are booked this far in advance. Since the other ones can be changed on the fly, it doesn't matter so much if I drop a day or two in the balkans, as long as I am in Dubrovnik for the flight.

Actually, your itinerary is very good.

Are you going any daytrips in Munich? If you are a big WWII fan, there are so many places to visit. Dahau concentration camp, Berchtesgaden just to name a few.

Salzburg is not big, so 1 day 2 night is enough.

As for the caves in Slovenia, I went to the Skocjan Cave. It's less accessible than the Postojna Cave, but still not hard to get to. It's one of the most astonishing sights I have ever seen. Skocjan cave is simply massive; think about the Dwarf underground city in Fellowship of the Rings. Postonja is more touristy, but it requires less stamina. You have enough time in Slovenia, why not visit both?

As for Lake Bled, I wised I had spend more time there. I rented a boat with 2 people from the hostel and rowed it to the central island. It's one of the memories that stick with me forever. Try some hiking routes nearby.

The one modification I would change is to skip Zagreb and go to Sarajevo instead. I didn't go to either city, but from what I heard, Sarajevo is definitely worth it. If Sarajevo is too much detour for you, then consider Mostar on the way to Dubronik. (Split - Mostar - Dubrovnik)

Other than that, your itinerary is totally awesome. I wish I could go to Europe again. Speaking of which, I was on a train heading to Slovenia exactly a year ago. Gosh, how time flies
