This is more like it. The Harmony 880 remote at $120 is a very nice deal, as other vendors sell this product for $150-$160 easily (without free shipping). The Conceal Surge proctector has 11 outlets and built in wire organization... seems solid for $20. Last and certainly not least, a 42" 1080p LCD HDTV for $999 with free shipping? Worth investigating for sure.
Shipping is free for all items.

Theres conflicting user reviews for the product on the site on whether it works or not with the PS3.

I'm thinking about the Belkin ... reviews have been mostly good and it will *maybe* sell out. Do I need to spend 20 bucks plus tax to organize my cables? Hmmnnn ... probably not ... this is RFD afterall though ... going to bed.
Mostly positive Amazon.com reviews ... apparently flimsy hinge though ...

It should work, but people have reported issues with it depending on the TV/receiver. Note that it is not HDMI 1.3-compliant, so it cannot pass Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD MA signals. This is not a problem for the PS3 though, because it decodes it and passes it as LPCM, so all you need is HDMI 1.1 with it (as long as your receiver can take LPCM input).

I have this, purchased at a previous DoD. The first one I got had the same broken hinge complained about, but dell replaced it. The hinges are delicate, but I'm just super careful now, and make sure always to push down very firmly to release the latch before opening it, which I don't do often anyway.Perfect for my purposes (For kitchen appliances, I have a fantastic 12 outlet belkin for electronics). And 20 bucks isn't much.

locking the cover down isn't an issue. It has a latch. The issue is with being careful to open it Study where the hinges are before you do and be careful about disengaging the latch.

Well, I'm not gonna disagree with him. I personally think today's deals aren't that great either but, to each his own. Some people might need these things in which case, yes, these are some pretty decent deals. There are some people on the other hand that will find these things useless and thus they will be crap to them. :)

I'm using this switch with the PS3 and my Up-converting Pioneer with no issues. I bought this switch less than a year ago on a Dell Day. Same Price I think.
I have also programmed this switch to work with my Harmony 880 which I got from a Dell day about 2 years ago for $99.

I was thinking about this 'People's Choice Event' and I think it makes sense... ask people what deals they want, and once they know the demand is higher, they don't have to reduce the price as much. It's not an airtight theory, but could be true...

Technically yes. In practice, some may fight you tooth and nail to avoid it so be prepared for a battle. I had to fight with a number of people at FS to PM a harmony deal at Dell a few months ago to get the 659 for $40.

The amazon link is good for reviews, but it is a different product. The Dell version has no coaxial connectors, even though it claims to protect your home theatre. Here's the amazon link (http://www.amazon.com/Conceal-3195J-11OUT-Cord-300K/dp/B000W3V3EM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1212675155&sr=1-1)for the correct product, which has no reviews, but has a larger picture than Dell.

Yeah, it was $99 during Days promotion last year. Think it was around August/September. A few friends picked it up then. I wish I had then, or boxing day.
This sucks if FS doesn't carry it anymore, and the lowest Dell will go is $120. Looks like the $99 days are gone after all.

I have the x-540s. Very decent system, although I don't like that theres no real method of hanging them on a wall besides a little plastic clip on the base of the speaker that looks like it would break post-haste.
Sound quality is great, build quality is decent - the faceplates come off nicely for cleaning/dusting, etc. wires are a bit short to the primary speaker (front left I think), but not terrible.

nope the dell one does not have coaxial...
nice job getting the PM done.. :)
Thanks. Ended up ordering a second one from Dell anyway as I was planning on getting at least two from Staples if they had them in store and I'm not sure if I could replicate the PM at another staples even if I cared to drive out of my way to another one and try.
Planning on using one in the living room, and one in the office. After looking at the one I got from Staples, I have to say these are fantastic looking devices and a great deal even at $19.99. I hate the cable nest under my desk right now...
Has anybody else ordered one? What's with the ship date of 6/10 on this item?

If anyone wants to know about those Logitech X-540 5.1 Surround Speaker System, I bought a set from BB for around the same price, and it's totally worth the deal. I had some 1980s Yamaha speakers though so... almost anything was an upgrade ;) but I'm happy with these, the center speaker clips nicely to a LCD monitor :cheesygri

I was going to PM the Belkin bar at FS but upon closer inspection they are slightly different from each other and have different manufacturer part number. I don't think I'll bother but if someone wants to try the cashier may not notice cause it looks almost exactly the same unless you look real close or they check the part number.

Was going to get the Viewsonic 42" at Costco for $1199, good thing this came along when it did, thanks Dell and RFD!
Free ground shipping is what sold me.
Lucky you. I just bought it last weekend. I was seriously thinking of getting it from Dell and returning it to Costco, but decided against it. If Costco drops the price in the near future I'll go back for a price adjustment.

Dell only has a one year warranty on the TV and exchanging it will be less a hassle with Costco than Dell if something goes wrong.
