Oasis Cancun?? or best place to stay in Cancun, Mexico

I was looking at Oasis Cancun for an option to stay in Mexico.

This is what I want:

the carribean side with the nice white sand and clear blue beach
a nice big pool (mostly wanted a pool bar as well)
a bunch of good restaurants
good food
a liveable hotel room.....a good friendly environment hotel, cleanliness as well
somewhat where younger people are (ages 18-24)
also shops any shops near by would be a bonus...for clothes and souvineers

I have heard the Oasis Cancun is THE party place...but the majority of the reviews I read of this place are bad reviews. Saying that the place smells modly, beds aren't great, food isn't good, long line-ups for restaurants and pool bar. THe only positive side I saw was the pool and the beach.

Any help of a good palce to stay or have any of you been to Oasis Cancun??

shopping in Cancun is a rip off. Nothing is cheap

There's a few Oases in cancun... 3 i believe? one of them's a 5* property which is really nice.
As for younger people, oasis is the place to be. its probably ~ 1km from most of the big clubs but its a short bus ride away. It also depends on what time of year you go. Spring break just passed so it won't be party central ... its still good though

The best place to party, no doubt about it. Food is good, yes its busy but the most we had to wait wuz like five minutes. Oasis has club promoters who have buses to take you to clubs. Miss that place
