View Full Version : Looking for suggestions for a 3-5 days trip

A few friends and I are looking to take a short vacation somewhere towards the end of August. We were originally planning to spend a week in the Caribbeans, but with a couple of us going on family cruises, that plan must now be changed. All of us have been to the usual Ottawa/Montreal/New York/Boston/Chicago, so we were looking at something further. Aiming for a 4-5 days trip, and right now we are considering the Palm Springs resort deal but want to see what else is out there before going with it - as personally I rather spend days sightseeing if I'm flying out to the West Coast - I can always go to resorts and stuff elsewhere

Washington DC and Atlantic City?

Both are still in the 800 km driving range.

Failing that Quebec City? How about Canada's east coast?

Most/all of us have been to Washington DC, and a couple to AC and it won't be our other friend's "cup of tea"

I think Banff might be a very tempting place...
